Mersey Summer Quiz League

BBC2 are looking for contestants to face a series of tricky questions. You will not be alone however; three celebrities will be debating the answers live in the studio with you.

If you are confident, quick witted and would love the chance to win some cash, then they want to hear from you.

ITV are currently on the lookout for outgoing, lively contestants with a good sense of general knowledge to take part in a new ITV Quiz Show, hosted by Bradley Walsh.

12 Yard productions are looking to recruit two new Eggheads to join the team, taking the total up to nine (CJ has left again). They are looking for one male and one female quizzer, to be chosen from a knockout competition to be filmed in July.

The 2016 season of the Mersey Summer Quiz will commence on 6th June 2016 with the usual table quiz/organisational meeting at Aigburth People's Hall.  Kick off will be at 8.30pm and all are welcome.

The main season will begin the following Monday, with 11 teams taking part this year.  Full fixtures are in the fixtures calendar.

As mentioned at the final quiz of the season, the surplus funds in the MSQL coffers (£100) were donated to Mary's Meals, a charity supplying nutritious food to schoolchildren in Africa. The receipt can be seen below (click on it to see it at full size):

The head-to-head playing season is now complete, the week by week results and end of season table can be found on the Results page.  The end of season Grand Prix will be held at Aigburth People's Hall on August 17th, starting at 8pm.
